It includes all health service ophthalmic activity carried out in Northern Ireland by primary care ophthalmic practitioners and submitted to BSO for payment. This information does not include any ophthalmic activity delivered by Trust based ophthalmic services or any activity carried out privately.

Presents information on ophthalmic activity carried out by general ophthalmic practitioners in Northern Ireland. It details information on the number of primary care ophthalmic practitioners in Northern Ireland along with the number of sight tests, vouchers, repairs/replacements carried out and submitted to BSO for payment during the financial year.
Quarterly Ophthalmic Statistics

This quarterly series is a subset of the annual information with data provided for selected key tables. The quarterly updates within a year should be treated as provisional and may be revised when figures are finalised to produce the end of year annual report.
